How to babysit

Leaving a child in the hands of a baby sitter can be a daunting prospect for parents. A baby sitter's training course this Saturday April 29 organised by the Waimarino Plunket, aims to go some way to offering both parents and would-be baby sitters, peace of mind. The one-day course to be held at the Lion's Den in Ohakune is aimed at teenagers and adults wishing to extend their knowledge of care of babies and children, with particular

emphasis on how to cope in an emergency situation. Guest speakers throughout the day include St John Ambulance staff and representatives of local Fire Brigade and Police forces. A list of the successful course applicants . will be distributed to kindergartens, playcentres and held by the Waimarino's Plunket Nurse. Interested persons are asked to contact either Natalie ph 58982, or Brenda ph 54025.
