Refund halved
Reimbursements to the Waimarino District Council for expenses incurred through its 1988 amalgamation so far total $53,000. This amount is part of an earlier claim for $103,000. $50,000 for expenses related to the employment of the Waimarino district manager were turned down. A further claim for $30,000 for the moving and renovating of the Raetihi works depot has yet to be considered.
