Parish healthy
The Ruapehu Anglican Parish is in excellent health, parishoners heard at the Annual General Meeting held on Sunday April 2. A number of reports
were received including those from the Vicar, opportunity shop and mission committee. Parishoners were informed that the Parish is in excellent health, both spiritually and monetarily. Money owed to the Dioces Insurance Board is in excess of $2000, and a statement account and balance sheet showed that income from donations and other sources amounted to more than $50,000 for the year. Church attendance last year was well up on previous years. Keith Harford was reelected Vicar's Warden and Dot McNie was elected as Parishoners' Warden. Elected vestry members were Gerald Olds, Janet Dunn, Carole Harford, Mary Allen, Pat Olds and Peggy Peck. Elected First Vestry Alternate was Robin Olds. Elected Synods Persons were Keith Harford and Gerald Olds. The Vicar concluded the meeting by saying that the Ruapehu Parish has a bright, happy and loving future.
