OHAKUNE STATION DECISION NEXT WEEK

Development of the Ohakune Junction Railway Station is to be considered next Tuesday. The Ruapehu South Business Association is working on a plan to upgrade the station to a visitor centre, with the help of a $15,600 community assistance project grant from the Commerce Department. Project Manager Peter Hammond, who is now living in Auckland and working as a landscape designer, is working on plans and costings for the project.
