Raetihi school re-opening
A true indication that Raetihi has a bright future was the official opening of the newlook Raetihi School block last Thursday. That view was expressed by Mayor Garrick Workman who officiated at the ceremony. He said the completion of Stage
One of the work, followed by the news that the Wanganui Education Board had allocated funds for Stage Two, to be completed within the next two years, was a good sign for Raetihi. The role at the school has been steadily rising in recent times, the people gath-
ered to celebrate the opening heard. Stage one involved refurbishing four classrooms, the staff room, the administration area and building an annex to be used fpr teaching small groups. The work saw the stripping of the building back to its shell and completely renovating, repainting and re-roofing.
