Bridge meeting
The Annual Meeting of the Ohakune Bridge Club was held on February 22 at Ruapehu College. Officers elected were: President, L. Eades; Secretary, G. Mottram; Director, J. Eades. The club meets every Wednesday night at 7.30 in the College's Senior Studies Block and all new members and visitors are welcome. At this stage there are around 32 members in the club and throughout the year club members will travel to other areas
such as Wanganui, Taihape, Marton and Taumarunui to play in tournaments. The Ohakune Club holds two tournaments a year, the main one being in July. These have always been very popular with players from other clubs and it is not uncommon to have as many as 60 visitors playing in this tournament. • Evening classes for learners have just begun, to be run over the next ten weeks, Monday night 7pm to 9pm. Runners Up were A. Roke, A. Pitt. Competition, 1st Wilson Rose Bowl, J. Martin 72N. 1st, G.M.T. J. Martin 72N. 1st Putting N. Winter 30N. Two's A. Pritt. Threes G. Whale, B. Deadman. Raffle: P. Mowat.
