Hukaroa's Councillor Trebilcock resigns

The Waimarino District Council is now two member short, with the resignation of Hukuroa Ward member Jeremy Trebilcock. Councillors recently accepted the resignation of Ohakune councillor Ellen Gould and will consider Mr Trebilcock's resignation tomorrow night. Mr Trebilcock has cited work commitments as the reason for resigning. He has been absent for almost all council meetings in recent months. Because his resignation falls earlier than six months from the next election the council is required to fill the vacancy.
