RAETIHI'S CHILLS OFF MAKE PLANS FOR '89

Raetihi's Chills Off Committee, who are raising funds for covering the town's swimming pool, is alive and well. The group held their first meeting for 1989 last week and heard that they had $17,000 in funds so far. Plans for this year so far include a queen carnival and a fun day, with dates to be confirmed. The fun day, similar to last year's, is planned for some time in April. Activities will include bike riding, hockey stick and tennis ball pursuit, wheelbarrow ride and carrot eating contests. A 'hundred club' multiple draw raffle is also in the pipeline. Those interested in taking part in the fun day or are willing to be involved with this community project should contact Shirley McDonough (54488) or Sharon Binzegger (54939).
