APPRECIATION.
TO THE EDITOR,
Sir, —We heard with sincere regret Mr Mason was withdrawing from the editorship of the Rodney and Otajiatea Times, for we have not met with a more genuine, kind and gentlemanly man in that capacity. AYe truly wish him prosperity and happiness whereever he may be. It is very gratifying that Mr Moore has kindly come forward to fill Mr Mason's vacated place, and being so highly recommended we feel quite sure that he is fully competent to be editor of our well "got up Aveekly issue. AYe earnestly hope that Mr Moore will be Avell supported as no settler should be Avithout the advantages offered by the paper.
N'lAtr-ORTE QUI,
