It appears that Mrs Underwood lw\ been serving: some- oustomers. in the bar and hau OjiOiiod the Siifo \<x got change,, a few minut s after'.v^'ds slic went out af tho ba.r-*-no one bei»g in the bar at the time—leaving; the keys in the safe which is, plaoed underneath the counter, Mid went out to the front gate of tho premises, she only stayed a few minutes and an her retuvn noticed the safe door partly open which arroused her suspicions that something was wrong. On examination, a smill tin box c ntaining about £24 in gold and notes was mis,sing. The matter has been placed in hands of the police.
