Ahuroa.
The annual picnic in connection with the No's 1 and 2 Ahuroa schools took place on Deo. 20. in Mr. A. Woodcock's paddock. After lunch various game's were indulged in by the elder ones there, while all schoolchildren on the ground received toys. Mr. Tqoman, in returning thanks, said that it caiue as a niost pleasant surprise. At dark, the I school was cleared, and thqse who felt disposed stayed then until a little after' midnight indulging in dancing to music kindly supplied by Messrs Parry, Dennis, and Gsbahlistqn Mr. A- Perkins proving aft pfjficient M:C.
