It appears that we are not to have the two saw-mills running long-, as report, of fairly reliable nature, has it that the last raft of logs has come to the Rikau mill. After these have been put through, the mill closes. The district will be sorry to sever the Asj sociation. with Marnier and Bradley of this mill. The former gentleman has always been ready to give a willing hand to the needy, and when living here took his share in keeping things moving, The concert in aid of .the Public Library room is to be held on the 25th, inst. antl bids fair to be of exceptional interest as all who can, are anxious to assist.
