McLeod on his return from he war, eventuated in the Masonic 3all on Monday last, and proved to o ba one «f the most enjoyable affairs lyer'had in Warkworth. Nearly all the items rendered were befitting to the occaaian, being patriotic. The refreshments' which were kindy provided by the ladies were indeed, MLcellenfc; demonstrating beyomi question that their education in" the julinery art; had not been ne£'l<?cfced. Dancing M-as kept up till midnight, md after singing Auld Lang Syne md a verse of the National" A.nthem, ill returned h me after having throuh !y enjoying' themaelyes, Mr. E. "Walker had charge of the tnu ical part of the programme, and, as usual acquitted himseli , hapily Mrs. Rayner assieted by Miv. Ward and Miss Kerr -supplied the danceoiußic; the first, named lady also playing the accompaniments. To special features were, the amiable manner in which everyone present tried to make'the evening pass off merrily and the unostentatious assistance cheerfully rendered by Dr. Shoeeiniih in superintending the refreshments in the anti room; the doctor waft ably assisted by "Miss E. Southgate and Miss Southgate and Miss Stacy. *
