Murphy Likely To Accept Australian Contract

! Mr. William Donoh-ue, director of Stadiums Limited, Australia, has been in conferenee with Bos Murphy and his manager, Percy Galvin. He offered Murphy bouts against Dave Sands, middleweight champion of Australia, and Tommy Burns, welterweight champion, and American and Belgian importations. Murphy has been given an opportunity of completing his New Zealand engagements before being* required by Stadiums Limited, and the eontract form has been left with Wallie Ingram, sporting editor of the Southern Cross, for Murphy to sign. The story appearing in the Sydney Press that Murnhy was under eontract to fight in Australia under the promotion of Bob Marshall, who is" associated with Willie Jones, was. denied by M'ufphy and Galvin. Galvin stated that Murphy is under no Eontract to. fight in Australia, and should Murphy go there, he would do his .fig'hting under the promotion of Stadiums Limited. It is anticipated that Murphy will receive an average cf £1000 fo £1500 for each bout in Australia, and1 he expects to leave New Zealand in April. The * position is fast approaching when Murphy will run out of opponentg in New Zealand and the offer from Stadiums Limited is likely to be accepted.
