WILLING TO UNDERGO ALTITUDE TESTS

'Condemned Doctors' Offer Refused i LONDON, Feb. 12. 1 Two of the 23 Nazi doctors whom a United States military court is trying on charges of conducting inhuman experiments on war prisoner internees in Dachau camp, offered to submit to high altitude experiments to prove they were harmless. The prosecution objected to the offer. He said the doctors had probably developed tolerance to such tests. Some of the results of the experiynents by the Nazis on the inmates of concentration camps could be of great value to medical science, it was stated by Dr. Kenneth Mellanby, who recently visited Germany. In particular, the treatment of typhus ' and malaria could benefit. Dr. Mellanby, who spent more than three weeks in Germany, says the expe^jmqnts were often inhuman in the extreme. There was no point in publishing the results generally, because in the cases in which real good was achieved the details were too tecfc» nical.
