E.F.C.A. OBJECTS TO PICNIC TRAINS
DUNEDIN, last night. At a meeting of the Enginedrivers, Firemen and Cleaners' Association to-day, the following reso- | lution was carried:' "That the Dunedin ( hranch of the association emphatical- i ly protests against the running of j ; picnic trains on Sundays. Long and ;arduous hours are still being worked j by locomotive men after six years of ' staff shortage. The amount of Sunday j work for transport of stoek is already heavy. We therefore strongly assert that all Sundays trains for picnics and pleasure trips be entirely banned." .
