Australian Marching Team

The appearance of Treloar's, the champion Australian women's marching team, at the Masterton Park Oval on Saturday drew an excellent attendance. The team's dark green uniform with gold braid was cut on service lines, and contrasted with the cclourful "cigarette girl" type of costume adopted by New Zealand teams. The Australians' precision marching was of a high standard but avith a military judge officiating at the New Zealand championships their exaggerated arm swing is likely to be penalised. As vocalists the visitorsalso put on an excellent show.
