N.Z. JOURNALISTS TO FLY TO JAPAN
WELLINGTON, last night. Three New Zealand journalists, Messrs. G. F. Roydhouse, of the N.Z. Press Association, B. A. Mair, of the Christchurch Star-Sun, and W. G. Blundell, of the N.Z. Free Lance, will leave Auckland by air on Thursday ior Japan. The journalists, who are going to Japan at the invitation of the Government, will travel hy a Dakota aircraft. The journey is expected to take 10 days. f They will spend from two to three weeks in Japan, and their total absence from New Zea^i-nd will be about six weeks. | It is ho-ped that they will be able 'to visit other areas than , the New Zealand areas, but travel outside the New Zealand zone will have to be at the invitation of the United1 States authorities.. The men v/ill be given the opportunity to see, at first hand, the conditions under which the New Zealand troops live, together with the amenities provided for them. They 'are going as an independent miss'ion so that the people of New Zealand can be given an account of the oceupation task.
