TOURIST DEPARTMENT ANNUAL PICNIC

LARGE ATTENDANCE HAS ENJOYABLE DAY. About 250 Tourist Department members, relatives and friends enjoyed themselves immensely at the department's annual picnic, which was held at Te Ngae on Sunday last. The picnic, which was sponsored by the •department's social club, included •many spoiting events, and althongh the weather in the morning was not : cheerful, the rain cleared in the aftemoon.
