Shipping Delays Affect Sale Of N.Z. Seeds

LONDON, Feb. 5. The snle o-f New Zoaland seeds in Britain may he seriously affected as a result of shipping delays in the Dominion. Several shipments arrived too late last year for the autumn sowing and had to be carried over to the spring and it appears that a large proportion of the supply due shortly for the spring sowing will also be late. This means that they will have to he held for the autumn sowing this year and also the spring of 1948. It is feared that this carry over may have an effeet 011 the demand. and purchases may shortly be curtailed as a direet result of shipping delays.
