PHILATELIC SOCIETY IN ROTORUA
I FORMATIOjV' IS PROPOSEI) BY ENTHUSIASTS. In the home of Mr. H. H. Perkins, Old Taupo Road, recently stamp enthusiasts discussed the need for a philatelic society in Rotorua and the j prospects of forming one were conj sidered to be decidedly good. Rotorua j not only has some very keen philateilists, but is fortunate bec'ause cblleutors visit this area very frequently on holiday, and they could be of considerable assistanee to local members. A tentative committee, -consisting of Messrs. H. H. Perkins, E. Roe, K. Moore, G. A. Wilkes and Marlow, was formed to make arrangements to call a general meeting of persons interested. The collection of Mr. Perkins is in itself interesting enough around which to form a society, and there are several others in the area which are of more than passing interest.
