The man charged was Neil Arthur Pyne, 34, gardener, of Springwood, Blue Mountains,( who "was committed for trial at the Lismore Quarter Sessioijs on May 5 on a charge of having • fraudulently omitted to aceount for v£7 16s 5d to Vernon C'ardew. Wilson, trading as the Farmers' iSupply Co. Pyne had appealed to be released on his own recognisance when Mr. Walters, stating that his company was not vindictive, appealed for Pyne. Mr. Walters said one reason why Pyne would be kept in gaol for four months if bail were not available was the distance of this circuit from Sydney.
