It was the worst cat fight I hav,e ever seen in my 30 years as a .trainer. One of my old lions, Tyrone, got jeal.uts when I introduced the new ones. He started to fight with a tiger sittino: on a seat above him. The new lions were scaml and tried to I'un into 1 rhe chute, hut the man there was iate in opening the door. So there I was in the middle — -new lions on one side and old lions and two tigers on the other. 'The fight was a snarling blitzkrieg. I dropped my gun — I was plenty seared. One of the new lions had its neelc and back broken, another new one was so badly wounded I had to kill it. The fight cnded only when they were all exhausted."
