Overseas Stage Attraction J The box plans for "Wateh Your 8tep," which will be staged at the ATajestic Theatre, beginning on Monday, February ] 0, for two nights, by Oph!.' Rees Overseas Revue Company, will opGn at the ATajestic Theatre Confectionery Shop on Wednesday, February 5, and judging by the number of inquiries there is likeiy to be a large demand for seats. VaUdeville has alwavs enjoyecl a gnod following with New Zealand audiences, and the new "Watch Ycur Step" revue brings a welcome return to this light form of entertainment. Outstanding in the cast of overseas variety stars is comedian Joe Lawman. This rotund Australian, describ.ed by New Zealand eritics as one ton of broad huniour, makes audiences roar at his never-ending stream of wiseeracks. The Australian ventriloquist, "Royston," whose triple voice act is a little short of amazing is undoubtedly the most versatile ventriloquist to appear on the New Zealand stage. Jandy, musical elown, is another star of the show who plays on saws, bells, bottles, and musical instruments, and brings with him a nostalgic reminder cf the circuses. Ophir Rees, singer, revue -artist, and producer, reveals his versatility in a most pleasing song scena, "Irisn I.ullaby," and is also featured in many of the sketehes.
