DOCUMENTARY FILMS OF RURAL LIFE
\ Federated Farmers has embarked upon the production of films descriptive of the daily lives of the farmers, and in the first attempt has achieved a xemarkable measdre of success. In recent years there have been many attractive films of 'other industries produced by the Government, and not a few dealing super ficially with the primary industries, but they have dealt for the anost part with the picturesque or entertaining side of farming life. The farmers' own pietuie is a simple documentation of the life of a farmer -and his family on an average New Zealand farm, and contains an accurate representation of the -life. The film is the first indication for years that the .people can hope for a serious attempt to exploit the obvious demand for documentary films of New Zealand subjects by other than State initiative.
