TORTURES ALLEGED BY FRENCHMEN
MARSE'ILLES, January 29. Frenoh lcivilians and wjDurided soldiers who have been returned from Indo-China have alleged that Viet Namese suieide squads, including some Japan ese soldiers, tortured and massacred scores of French men, women and children. The men were soaked with petrol and set afire, the women killed, and children hacked to pieces.
