Seven Hurt When Fire Engine Goes Over Hill
WELLINGTON, last night. Seven firemen were injured, hut none seriously, when a fire engine from the Wellington Central Station was going to a gorse Ure in Melrose shortly after three o'clock on Satnr;lay afternoon. Three ambulances were required to take the injured to hospital. The accident occurred as the engine was pasisng a caF on Buclcley Road, - the edge of the road giving way and the engine rolling down the hill. The injured were: C. Dobson, R. Davidson, T. E. Reid, G. McPhee, H. Hall, M. Proctor and G. Livingstone.
