PRISONER'S EFFORT TO ENTERTAIN INMATES
SYDNEY, January 23. An hilarious party enjoyed by the 'emale prisoners in the Sbuart Creek vaol, near Townsville, resulted in the bost, Edward Clarence Long, aged 38, being sentenced to imprisonment for line months,' %and two gaol officials being susp ended from. duty. (Long was released after serving a vear's sentence and felt so happy vbout it that he decided to entertain he friends he had left behind. He bought a large supply of food and drink, scaled the fall and reontered the gaol to turn on a party lor the female prisoners. Aftermath of 'the party included a visit hy the 'Comptroller of Prisons xnd reports to the Attonney-jGeneral.
