He said; good conditions are constantly improving in- Paris- and elsewhere in France and that those who travel to France need not worry about going hungry. i Transportation conditions are fast becoming normal, with the restoration this month of several crack trains serving vacation centres in France as well as in other parts of Europe. 'Characteristic of the new schedules is more speed, new trains, better comfort and additional international services. The repoening of the Mont iCsnis Tunnel under the- French Alps permits through trains between Paris, Turin, and Rome. Also back is the well known Calais-Mediterranean express, ' or "Blue Train," from Calais to Nice, Vintimille, with through cars to Milan and Rome. . A new . train, the Etoile du Nord, . or "Northern Star," connects Paris with Brussels and Amsterdam. This is a non-stop train. The Arlberg-Orient express is now a daily train between Paris and Vienna, via Basel, Zurich, Innisbruck and Linz. Aiiother daily train between Paris and Vienna, via Stuttgart and Munich, is the Orient express. The Simplon-Orient express from Paris to Rome malkes the run in seven hours less than its previous schedule. Inter-European services between France and Switzerland and- Italy bave been speeded up. New trains to Germany have been established. For che first time since 1939 schedules -of a train from Paris to Berlin appear in the official French Railroads timeable.
