At a reeent meeting of your.g farmers it was resolved to re-form the Ngakuru hranch of the Y.F.C. An interesting address was given by Mr. C. R. Taylor, tields instructor, Rotorua, his subject being the Y.F.C. Movement, its aims and ideals. The following olllcers were elected: — •Chairman, Mr. 7V. H. Mat.thewson, j-un secretary, Mr K. Swindlehurst; auditor Mr. G. D. Lamb; advisory member, Mr. I. J. Brosnahan; senior members, Messrs. A. E. Dods and K. Villas. Mr. I. J. Brosnahan will address the elub on the buying and selling of fat stock on the second Tuesday in February and all members and intending members are invited to be present. The hranch hekl its initial function in the Ngakuru Hall last Saturday. A very enjoyable evening was spent by a large crowd. The Monte Carlo was won by Miss P Gray and Mr. A. E. Dods. Alf Brown's orehestra supplied the music, and the duties of M.C. were performed by Mr. G. D. Lamb^. As the club has fewer than a dozen members as yetj it is to he complimentecl on its first social.
