JUDGE'S WIFE KNOWS WHAT OOMPH IS
SEQUEL TO BRITISH COURT CASE. ( LONDON. Sequel to a recent court case of wide intcrest in which the learned processes of British ijustice did their best to put a definition on the Americanism oomph" was the statement made by Lady Evershed, wife of Mr. Jnstice Evershed recently. 'Nb dictionary hacl ben able to help the court. Mr. Justiee Evershed said with a smile: "I didn't sleep a winlc last night." But -his wife told a Daily Mirror reporter who called on her: "Every woman's knows what Oomph is." "What is it?" aslced the reporter. Lady Evershed, standing against a ibaekground 'of red-backed law books, wrinkled her brow, said, "Well — er," shrugged her shoulders and then said, "'I- suppose I could tdefine it if I had time, but I can't do it now." Told that Ann Sheridan is traditionally the Queen of Oomph, Lady EVershed said:."W!e shall go and see 1 her together when, we get time for I relaxation." I
