Sir Stafford Cripps, President of ihe Board of Trade, told members eof the British film industry that American fiims shown in Britain earned 10 or 20 times as much as British fllms shown in America. He said that was not true reciprocity, and it v/as up 'to them to find a remedy. He did not want to see quality suffer for quantity, He wished to see British film output increase to 60' or 80 pietures per year, compare.d with 30 of last year. ^
