MINERS' UNION WILL ACCEPT POLES
LONDON, January 17. The executive of the National Union of Aline Workers has agreed to the cmployment of Polish miners in British pits 011 condition that loeal miners agree to accept them, that they join the union, ahd that in the ovent of redundancy, the Poles will be the first to go. A total of 896 Poles in Britain will he immediately availahle. The union president said that the union had {'hanged its attitude hecause British labour fought shy of the pits.
