Service With J-Fbl'ce While the general future of the New Zealand forces in Japan had yet to be he decided, there was no reasori foi* a departure from the original agreement coiieerning length of service, said the Minister, of Defence, Mr. Jones. The troops at present in Japan would, as originally stated, serve not more than a year overseas, or more than 18 months altogether. Their overseas service was due ;o end in May and July for the two drafts, and their diseharge in New Zealand was due in Septembor aiid Oetober.
