500 VOLUNTEERS AS HUMAN QUINEA PIGS

LONDON, January 17. Five hundred persons have responded to the Ministry of Health appeal foi* volunteers to participate in the Ministry's research into the coramon cold. They must be willing to spend 10 days in isolation at the Ministry's research 'unit near Salis.bury. Tlje volunteers include exservicemen, women, sehool teachers, and housewives. A Ministry official said there was every prospect of keeping the trials going during* the next six months.
