ROTORUA SHOTS FOR WAR BRIDE FILM

DISTRICrS CONTRIRUTION TO "TENAKOE" STORY. After shooting more than 4400 feet of film in the Rotorua distriet, Mr. Lee Hill, the well known cameraman, has almost completed the district's ; contribution to the war bride film "Te:-akoe." whic-h is expected to he released in England and the C-ontinent towards the end of March. The film, which depicts the experiences of (five British girls who married New Zealand servicemen and came to New Zealand, is in effect a featuro film showing the IJominion from all amries. •Mr. Lee expressed appreeiation of the 'Co-operation that he had reeeived during the filming. At Whakarewarewa especially Guide Rangi and some of her party ha,d been a great help in adding local colour to many of the1* shofs. He also wished to thank the Town Clerk, Mr. L. J. Wright, for his help. Rotorua's -part in the film, although not extensive, will provide the holiday venue for one of the brides, who married a Waikato farmer. Mr Hill left Rotorua on Thursday for Auckland, where he will film foyer scenes at the New Zealand premiere of the Australian production, "The Overlanders," which opens to-night Mr. Hill will return to Rotorua during the week-end to c-omplete some of the sequenees
