ARAWA TENNIS CUP COMPETITIONS, The Arawa Tennis :Cup interzone 'mai concluded at the Taheke coufts last Sunday between Taheke and Otaramarae. The weather was .perfect and there was a very large attendance. The consistent Otaramarae team defeated Taheke by oue game. Every game played revealed the same high standard- seen in big tournaments, drawing great applause from the crowd. Many were of the opinion that Taheke was unlucky in losing Features of the day were the men's doubles, bot'h sides displaying firstelass tennis. The juvenile Taheke topranker, L. Kingi, proved the best player of the clay. In the Otaramarae team, K. Nepia and T. Whaka were outstanding, both 1 displaying some hand hitting and smashes. Interest now will be centred on the final game between Otaramarae and the winner of the Mokoia interzone competition. The winner of that game wil retain the Arawa Cup. Tesults of the games are as follow; Otaramarae names being mentioned first: — Men's Doubles. S. Morehu and T. W'hata beat L. Kingi, '9-8; C. Ruhi and K Nepia beat B. Hunu and S Rildti, 9-7; D. Morehu and J. Simon lost to 'M. Kingi and D Hunu, 5-9. Ladies' Doubles. Miss J. Rog'ers and Mrs. B. Hawera lost to Miss P. Davies and Miss R. Curstis, 6-9; Miss E. Rogers and Miss B. Rogers lost to Miss C. Whata and Mrs. P. Kingi, 8-9; Mrs. -L. Morehu hnd Miss D. Rogers beat Miss H. Takuira and Mrs. R Hunu, 9-7. Mixed Doubles. C. Ruhi and J. Rogers beat L. Kingi and -Miss P. Davies, fi-7; K Nepia and Mrs. B. Hawera beat E-. Kingi 'and Miss R. Curstis, 9-6; S. 'Morehu and cMiss 'E. Rogers beat S Rikiti and Miss C. Whata, 9-8; D. Morehu and Mrs. L. Morehu lost to L. Hunu and Miss H. Takuira, 4-9; J Simon and Miss D. Rogers beat M. Kingi and Mrs. R. Hunu, 9-6. Men's Singles. C. Ruhi beat E. Kingi, 9-4; S. Morehu lost to L. Kingi, 6-9 ; K. Nepia lost to B Hunn, 5-9; T. Whata beat M. Kingi, 9-3; D. Morehu lost to S. Rikiti, 5-9; J. Simon lost to D Hunu, 5-9. Ladies' Singles. Miss J. Rogers beat Miss C. Whata, 9-8; Miss E.
