FOUR CLIMBERS SCALE UNCONQUERED PEAK
WfE(LLIN GTON, last night. An ascent of Mt. Humphrey, 8483ft., a hitherto unscaled peak in the Hopkin^ Valley region of thc Southern Alps, wsis one of the aeconiplishments of the party of Tararua Club trampers who recently rcturned to Wellington. The same party conducted the greater part of the rescue work in connection with the recent glacier tragedy, being first on the scene after the accident. The party cohsisted of seven of the cluh's most experienced nien, four of whom reached the top of Mt. Humphrey. . . ,• . • W'. Yi
