NEW YORK, Jan. 14. Echoing public concern at the recent air cr^shes, both the House of Representatives and the Senate have advocated Congressional investigation into the tragedies. One member called the House's attention to a report coucerning the Eastern Air Line plane, which crashed on Sunday, killing 18, which stated that "the aircraft was at least 60 miles off course." Air line officials have reported a falling off in air travel but some,contend that this is due to the seasonal falling off at this time of the year. Zhoucv Radar Network Planned LONDON, Jan. lf Britain has taken the lead in making t.he world's air routes safer. Three British air transport corporations, British Overseas Airways Corporation, British European Airways and British South American Airways, have formed a non-profit company to be known as International Aeradio, Limited. The chairman will be Mr. Whitney S traight, who was noxninated by British European Airways. Mr. Straight announced that Aeradio would be a co-operative undertalcing, with Governments and airline operatcrs coiftributing to the cost of providing radio aids to navigation and safety generally. The initial capital would be £250,000, B.O.A.C. and British European Airways holding 30' per cent each, and British South , American Airways 10 per cent. The balance would be offered to Dominion and foreign operators wishing to participate. Mr. Straight said that the compa.ny should be showing results inside six months. The-purpose of the new company is defined as "to ins'tall and operate telecommunications and radio and radar aids to navigation throughout the world wherever they are required and where they would not be otherwise available."
