AMERICANS HAVE GIANT NEW PLANE

WASHINGTON, Jan. 14. The Army Air Force announced that test flights will be made in April of the XC99, the world's largest air transport plane, which is capable of carrying 400 passengers or 100,000 pounds of cargo 8000 miles. The plane has six 3000 h.p. engines and a speed of 300 miles per hour. The wing span is 230 feet.
