(Press Assn —

KILLS FOUR AND INJURES SIXTY

-Rec. 9.30 p.m.)

JERUSALEM, Jan. 13. British troops and armoured cars are patrolling the streets of Haifa after the heavy explosion outside police headquarters yesterday, when four „ were killed and 60 were in- . jured. A car driven by terrorists drove .up to the building and exploded with temfic force. Two of the dead and 12 of the injured are British. The others are Arabs. When the car was driven into the police compound the guards searched it and gave the alarm. This warnmg enabled men in the barracks to malce their escape. The main building was partly demolished, its interior was gutted by flames and at least 12 other buildings were damaged. Three men in the car, one disguised as a policeman, made their escape, although fired at by the guard. They disappeared into the main area of the eity, an area now being* searched. Jewish Agency officials have strc-ngly denounced the attack. It is reliably stated that the Arah exeeutive has formally accepted the invitation to the London talks on Palestine.
