FRANCE WILL PURSUE LIBERAL POLICY
Will Meet L'egitimate Annamese Claims CAIRO, January 12. . The French Minister for Overseas Territories has told correspondents that some elements had tried to sabotage his fact-finding mission. He said that they started hostilities as soon as his arrival in Indo-China was known. France intended to continue with a liheral policy and to meet the legitimate aspirations of the Annamese. If he had received suitable proposals from the Viet Nam authorities, he would have done everything possible to put an end to the fighting in IndoChina, ' but no such proposals were ever made to him.
