^ i Auckland Wins By Six , Wickets AUC^KLAND, last night With Auckland's first four bats- i men out for 76 runs, and the side j showing a deficiency of 160, Canterbury had a fine winning chance in the Plunket Shield match at Eden Park yesterday, but a fifth wicket partnership !by the two young players, B. Sutcliffe and D. D. Taylor, changed the face of the situation and they put on the necessary runs in 135 minutes, Auckland winning hy six wickets. Sutcliflfe was then 62 and Taylor who had attacked the bowling, 98. After the match had been won, the over was continued to allow Taylor to score a century, and his unofficial tally was 101, not out.
