Award For Inn Workers Who Live Out
„ LONDON'; January 10. For the first time in Britain, eipployees in all non-residential hotels, public houses and inns have an agreement covering their working hours, rates of pay and holidays. The agreement will affect 150,000 woi\kers. The normal working hours are to be 4-8 a week and the minimuhi wage when boand and lodging are provided will be £3 3s. a week for male employees, £2 ilOs. for barmaids and from 35s. a week for other women workers. After six months' employment, all j workers are to receive one day's paid j boliday for eaeh month of ' employment.
