ITALIANS WANT GRAIN SHIPMENT DIVERTED
LONDON, Jan. 9. In Rome last night the Italian Food Commissic-ner asked the cabinet to appeal to the International Food Council to have grain intended for other countries re-routed to Italy. He announced that the Allied Cominand had lent Italy 15,000 tons of grain this month to help sav-e the bread rationing. Getting more grain is one of the main objects of Signor de Gasperi's visit to Washington. He stated last night that he was well saisfied with his talks in America.
