NEW YORK At a luncheon given in his honour j recently, General Eisenhower, U.S. ; Ghief of Staff and former Supreme ! Allied Commander in Europe was aci costed by a man who claimed to be I "the ghost of General Grant — a great | general who later failed abjectly as i President." i Said the ghost, pointing a warnI ing finger at Eisenhower, "Don't." ! Then he disappeared. | This little comedy drew attention , fco the "Bisehhower for President" i ;alk, which grew more insistent dur- ' ing the wqek, even though people close to Eisenhower declared that the general had-no Presidential ambitfons. But Eisenhower continued to fulfil many public engagements quite unrelated to his Army duties. He continued to talk at ' public gatherings m many national problems besides defence.
