WASHINGTON, Jan. 8. Mr. Byrnes has spoken on the question of advertisements in the lAmcrican Press for funds to support the illegal Jewisb army. He told reporters that the British Ambassador, Lord Inverchapel. had made more representations to him on this subject, and he was handing over to the Treasury the question of whether there should be tax exemptions for contributions made in response to the advertisements.
