ECONOMIC REVIEW OF UNITED KINGDOM
(j.overnment, Employers And Workers Confer LONDON, Jan. 8. An important conference on Britain's economic position is being held t.o-day in London. The Government, the emp'loyers, and the trade unions are taking part. The Minister of Labour, Mr. G. A. Isaacs, will preside. It is described as the most important of its kind since the war. It: was called to eonsider a draft statement on the nation's economic situation, now and in the future. It is believed that speakers for tho trade unions will express the need for a greater number of draft production committees in industry to get 'he fullest co-operation between employers and workers. Tliree other points may also be uiscussed. They are a general wages policy, the naticn's production drive and the effect of possible wage hicreases and prices.
