Hopes For Invercargill As South Air Terminal
INVERCARGILL, last night.' Approval has been given by Cabiriet;. for finance for the erection of a new hangar at the Invercargill aerodromfe. Hopes of making Invercargill the southem terminal for the internal air routes have been further raised by a letter received by the. Town Clerk" from Sir Leonard Isitt, chairman ;of. the National Airvvays Corporatiori,' stating that the 'service to and fro^i Invercargill will be inereased. Tj^fe directors -of the National Airway-s' Corporation are agreeidi that an inereased service can be provided regvilarly and safely, but this is at present dependent on the availability of aircraffc and trained personnel.
