ATOMIC BOMB MORE SERIOUS ON LAND

NEW YORK, Jan. 3. The United States Naval Affairs Committee of the House of Representatives has presented a report on the atom bomb tests at Bikini atoll. It says that the bomb is more effective on land targets than on ships. The main damage done to ships is to the light vessels, while the heavy armour and main superstructure of larger ships does not seem to be affected. The effect of atomic warfare on naval personnel is only conjectured. The report states that no definite conclusions can yet be drawn.
